How I got here...

I was born on Jaanuary 17th 1954, in Cracow, Poland. At the age of fourteen I moved with my family to Morocco for six years. Here we lived in Marrakesh but visited the countryside whenever possible and particularly the dessert. Morocco's beautiful light and landscapes inspired me to use bright and contrating colour in my artwork.

I went there to a French High School, Lycee Victor Hugo. There I studied art under the guidance of Francois Cujot, a cartoonist from France and later Jean-Noel Liibert. My fist exhibition was at that school.

In 1970, I won a proze for my poster design for The International Year
of The Child. On my return to Poland in 1974, I studied French literature and  obtained and M.A. degree by defending a thesis on the writings of Cateb Yacine.

In 1977 I married a Candian writer and in 1980 I moved to Toronto with my then husband and here I gained some notoriety for the poster I designed for the rock group, Cinemaface. Then I went on to George Brown College to study Commercial Art.
